Arif Mehsud's OpenSSL Conference experience
We’ve been publishing the experiences of people who received a scholarship to the OpenSSL Conference. Today we hear from Arif Mehsud.
Attending the OpenSSL Conference 2025 was an inspiring experience. I was especially excited by the sessions on post-quantum cryptography and crypto-agility, which showed how OpenSSL is shaping the future of secure communications. Meeting experts and contributors from around the world highlighted the power of collaboration and shared knowledge in the open-source community.
I’m looking forward to bringing these insights back to Pakistan’s cybersecurity community, helping strengthen local understanding and practical use of modern cryptography. The conference reinforced my goal of acting as a bridge between the global OpenSSL ecosystem and underrepresented professionals who can benefit from its tools and knowledge.
